Anti-Myelin protein zero antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MPZ in humans. The myelin protein zero protein has an expected mass of 27.6 kDa, but there are 2 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as P-zero, CHM, CHN2, CMT1, CMT1B, myelin protein P0, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy 1B. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
