Anti-DNHD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dynein heavy chain domain 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 4753 amino acid residues and a mass of 533.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in spermatozoa. A member of the Dynein heavy chain protein family, DNHD1 is known to be important for the normal assembly and function of sperm flagella axonemes. The DNHD1 gene has been associated with the disease, Spermatogenic failure. Synonyms for this target antigen include DNHD1 variant protein, coiled-coil domain containing 35, coiled-coil domain-containing protein 35, dynein heavy chain domain 1-like protein, and dynein heavy chain domain-containing protein 1. DNHD1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Immunocytochemistry is the most common application for the DNHD1 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
