Anti-COBL antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cordon-bleu WH2 repeat protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1261 amino acid residues and a mass of 135.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 7 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. COBL is known to play an important role in the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein cordon-bleu. COBL gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of COBL antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
