Anti-CHD1L antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein chromodomain helicase DNA binding protein 1 like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 897 amino acid residues and a mass of 101 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in hepatomacellular carcinomas. A member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase protein family, CHD1L is known to be involved with chromatin remodeling and DNA damage pathways. Synonyms for this target antigen include CHDL, amplified in liver cancer 1, amplified in liver cancer protein 1, and ALC1. CHD1L gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CHD1L antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
