Anti-LGALS12 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein galectin 12. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 336 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 7 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. LGALS12 is known to bind lactose. Synonyms for this target antigen include lectin, galactoside-binding, soluble, 12, testicular secretory protein Li 26, and galectin-related inhibitor of proliferation. LGALS12 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the LGALS12 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
