The gene may also be known as GPIAP1, GPIP137, GRIP137, M11S1, caprin-1, and GPI-anchored membrane protein 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 78.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
