Anti-CCDC25 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coiled-coil domain containing 25. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 208 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the CCDC25 protein family, CCDC25 is reported to be a transmembrane receptor that senses neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and triggers the ILK-PARVB pathway to enhance cell motility. Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain-containing protein 25. CCDC25 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CCDC25 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
