Anti-ACYP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein acylphosphatase 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 99 amino acid residues and a mass of 11.1 kDa. A member of the Acylphosphatase protein family, ACYP2 is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Synonyms for this target antigen include ACYP, acylphosphatase 2, muscle type, acylphosphatase, muscle type isozyme, acylphosphate phosphohydrolase 2, testicular tissue protein Li 11, and ACYM. ACYP2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for ACYP2 antibodies.
