Anti-ESRP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein epithelial splicing regulatory protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 681 amino acid residues and a mass of 75.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to have epithelial cell-specific expression. A member of the ESRP protein family, ESRP1 is known to be involved with mRNA processing and RNA splicing. The ESRP1 gene has been associated with the disease, Deafness. Synonyms for this target antigen include RBM35A, RMB35A, RNA-binding motif protein 35A, RNA-binding protein 35A, and DFNB109. ESRP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ESRP1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
