Anti-Mucin 16, cell surface associated antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MUC16 in humans. The gene may also be known as Mucin 16, CA125, CA125 ovarian cancer antigen, and mucin-16 long isoform. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 1519.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
