Anti-TFGA antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TFGA antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TGFA gene, which encodes transforming growth factor alpha. This protein is known to function in angiogenesis and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological roles. The human version of TFGA has a canonical amino acid length of 160 residues and a protein mass of 17 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as protransforming growth factor alpha. Western Blot is the most common application for the TFGA antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
