Anti-ADAMTS17 Antibody Products

Anti-ADAMTS17 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 17. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1095 amino acid residues and a mass of 121.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. ADAMTS17 is known to be involved with extracellular matrix organization and proteolysis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including N-glycosylation and protein cleavage.

The ADAMTS17 marker can be used to identify Upper-Layer Intratelencephalic Neurons and Cerebral Cortex MGE Interneurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include a disintegrin-like and metalloprotease (reprolysin type) with thrombospondin type 1 motif, 17, and A disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 17. ADAMTS17 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
