Anti-CST1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cystatin SN. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 141 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.4 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is reported to be expressed in submandibular and sublingual saliva but not in parotid saliva. It is a member of the Cystatin protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include cystatin 1, cystatin SA-I, cysteine proteinase inhibitor, type 2 family, salivary cystatin-SA-1, and cystain-SA-I. A number of CST1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
