Anti-BRE antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BRE antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the BABAM2 gene, which encodes BRISC and BRCA1 A complex member 2. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and cell division, among other biological roles. The human version of BRE has a canonical amino acid length of 383 residues and a protein mass of 43.6 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include BRCC4 and BRCC45. Western Blot is the most common application for the BRE antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
