Anti-PIGT antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis class T. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 578 amino acid residues and a mass of 65.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the PIGT protein family, PIGT is a known component of the GPI transamidase complex. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. The PIGT gene has been associated with the disease, Multiple congenital anomalies-hypotonia-seizures syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include MCAHS3, NDAP, PNH2, GPI transamidase component PIG-T, GPI transamidase subunit, and CGI-06. PIGT gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the PIGT antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
