Anti-PPM1G antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein phosphatase, Mg2+/Mn2+ dependent 1G. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 546 amino acid residues and a mass of 59.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the PP2C protein family, PPM1G is known to be involved with protein dephosphorylation and the cell cycle. Synonyms for this target antigen include PP2CGAMMA, PPP2CG, protein phosphatase 1G, PP2C-gamma, protein phosphatase 1C, and PP2CG. PPM1G gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PPM1G antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
