Anti-AOC3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein amine oxidase copper containing 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 763 amino acid residues and a mass of 84.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as in adipose tissue and lung. A member of the Copper/topaquinone oxidase protein family, AOC3 is known to be involved with cell adhesion and inflammatory response pathways. Synonyms for this target antigen include SSAO, VAP-1, VAP1, membrane primary amine oxidase, amine oxidase, copper containing 3 (vascular adhesion protein 1), and HPAO. AOC3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and bovine species. A number of AOC3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
