Anti-Complement factor I antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CFI in humans. The gene may also be known as FI, AHUS3, ARMD13, C3BINA, C3b-INA, C3B/C4B inactivator, and C3b-inactivator. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 65.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
