Anti-Lon peptidase 1, mitochondrial antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene LONP1 in humans. The gene may also be known as lon, LonHS, CODASS, LONP, lon protease homolog, mitochondrial, and hLON ATP-dependent protease. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 106.5 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
