Anti-MGEA5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MGEA5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the OGA gene, which encodes O-GlcNAcase. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of MGEA5 has a canonical amino acid length of 916 residues and a protein mass of 102.9 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the oral mucosa and testis. Other names for this target antigen include MEA5 and NCOAT. Western Blot is the most common application for the MGEA5 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
