Anti-LIMK antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LIMK antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LIMK1 gene, which encodes LIM domain kinase 1. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and nervous system development, among other biological roles. The human version of LIMK has a canonical amino acid length of 647 residues and a protein mass of 72.6 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. LIMK is a member of the TKL Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family. Western Blot is the most common application for the LIMK antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
