Anti-GRL antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GRL is a known alias name of the protein hes related family bHLH transcription factor with YRPW motif 2, encoded by the HEY2 gene in humans. This 337-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a downstream effector of Notch signaling which may be required for cardiovascular development. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
