Anti-CEP350 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein centrosomal protein 350. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 3117 amino acid residues and a mass of 350.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in fetal brain, skeletal muscle, testis, placenta, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas. CEP350 is known to play an important role in centriole growth by stabilizing a procentriolar seed composed of at least, SASS6 and CENPJ. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include GM133, centrosome-associated protein 350, centrosomal protein 350kDa, and CAP350. CEP350 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of Cep350 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
