Anti-APOJ antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The APOJ antigen is another term for the human protein clusterin, encoded by the CLU gene. The protein is known to function as extracellular chaperone that prevents aggregation of non native proteins. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 449 residues and a mass of 52.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted. It is notably expressed in blood plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, milk, seminal plasma and colon mucosa. The APOJ protein is a member of the Clusterin protein family. Other alias names for APOJ include AAG4. Some APOJ antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
