Anti-Fucosyltransferase 8 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FUT8 in humans. The gene may also be known as CDGF, CDGF1, alpha-(1,6)-fucosyltransferase, and GDP-L-Fuc:N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminide alpha1,6-fucosyltransferase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 66.5 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
