Anti-GCDFP15 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GCDFP15 is a known alias name of the protein prolactin induced protein, encoded by the PIP gene in humans. This 146-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the regulation of gene expression and proteolysis, among other biological processes. The protein is secreted and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in pathological conditions of the mammary gland and in several exocrine tissues, such as the lacrimal, salivary, and sweat glands. Other synonyms for GCDFP15 include BRST-2 and GCDFP-15. Indicated applications for GCDFP15 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
