Anti-EF1A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target EF1A is a known alias name of the protein eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha 2, encoded by the EEF1A2 gene in humans. This 463-amino acid residue protein is known to promote the GTP-dependent binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the A-site of ribosomes during protein biosynthesis. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features methylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate and cerebellum. Indicated applications for EF1A antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
