Anti-Nfm antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Nfm antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NEFM gene, which encodes neurofilament medium chain. The human version of Nfm has a canonical amino acid length of 916 residues and a protein mass of 102.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the placenta, colon, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. This target antigen may also be known as NEF3. These Nfm antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
