Anti-CD253 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CD253 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TNFSF10 gene, which encodes TNF superfamily member 10. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and cell to cell signaling, among other biological roles. The human version of CD253 has a canonical amino acid length of 281 residues and a protein mass of 32.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted of cells. Other names for this target antigen include APO2L and Apo-2L.
