Anti-AIS antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The AIS antigen is another term for the human protein androgen receptor, encoded by the AR gene. The protein is known to function in cell to cell signaling and in utero embryonic development, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 920 residues and a mass of 99.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is expressed in the kidney, fallopian tube, epididymis, endometrium, and breast. The AIS protein is a member of the Nuclear hormone receptor protein family.
