Anti-NFAT2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NFAT2 is a known alias name of the protein nuclear factor of activated T cells 1, encoded by the NFATC1 gene in humans. This 943-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in the inducible expression of cytokine genes in T-cells, especially in the induction of the IL-2 or IL-4 gene transcription. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in thymus, peripheral leukocytes as T-cells and spleen. Other synonyms for NFAT2 include NF-ATC and NF-ATc1.2. Some NFAT2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
