Anti-C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 9 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CXCL9 in humans. The gene may also be known as MuMIG, CMK, Humig, SCYB9, C-X-C motif chemokine 9, and chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 9. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 14 kilodaltons in mass and antibodies to the CXCL9 antigen may be useful for studying cytokine signaling. The CXCL9 marker can be used to identify Fibroblastic Reticular Cells (FRC).* Based on gene name, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
