Anti-P113 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the P113 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the STAT2 gene, which encodes signal transducer and activator of transcription 2. This protein is known to function in viral immune response and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of P113 has a canonical amino acid length of 851 residues and a protein mass of 97.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include IMD44 and ISGF-3. Western Blot is the most common application for the P113 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
