Anti-Samtor antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Samtor is a known alias name of the protein base methyltransferase of 25S rRNA 2 homolog, encoded by the BMT2 gene in humans. This 405-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a S-adenosyl-L-methionine-binding protein that acts as an inhibitor of mTORC1 signaling via interaction with the GATOR1 and KICSTOR complexes.
