Anti-CFAP107 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 107. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 194 amino acid residues and a mass of 23 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. CFAP107 is a known microtubule inner protein (MIP) part of the dynein-decorated doublet microtubules (DMTs) in cilia axoneme, which is required for motile cilia beating. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein CFAP107 and uncharacterized protein C1orf158. CFAP107 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
