Anti-PWWP3A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PWWP domain containing 3A, DNA repair factor. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 710 amino acid residues and a mass of 78.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the PWWP3A protein family, PWWP3A is reported to be involved in DNA damage response pathway by contributing to the maintenance of chromatin architecture. Synonyms for this target antigen include PWWP domain-containing protein MUM1, melanoma associated antigen (mutated) 1, melanoma ubiquitous mutated protein, mutated melanoma-associated antigen 1, and PWWP domain-containing DNA repair factor 3A. PWWP3A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
