Anti-CFAP410 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 410. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 256 amino acid residues and a mass of 28.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. CFAP410 is reported to play a role in cilia formation and/or maintenance (By similarity). The CFAP410 gene has been associated with the disease, Retinal dystrophy with or without macular staphyloma. Synonyms for this target antigen include LRRC76, RDMS, SMDAX, YF5/A2, nuclear encoded mitochondrial protein C21orf2, and C21orf2. CFAP410 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
