Anti-H3.4 histone antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target H3.4 histone is a known alias name of the protein H3.4 histone, cluster member, encoded by the H3-4 gene in humans. This 136-amino acid residue protein is an important component of nucleosome. It is localized to the nucleus and chromosomes of the cell and features ubiquitinated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in testicular cells. Other synonyms for H3.4 histone include H3.4, H3/g, and H3C16.
