Anti-tps-2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the tps-2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TPSAB1 gene, which encodes tryptase alpha/beta 1. This protein is known to function in proteolysis, among other biological roles. The human version of tps-2 has a canonical amino acid length of 275 residues and a protein mass of 30.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the tonsil, rectum, lymph node, colon, and bone marrow. tps-2 is a member of the Peptidase S1 protein family.
