Anti-CIB22 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CIB22 is a known alias name of the protein NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase subunit B9, encoded by the NDUFB9 gene in humans. This 179-amino acid residue protein is reported to be an accessory subunit the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), that is believed to be not involved in catalysis. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
