Anti-Complexin 4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CPLX4 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 160 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the Complexin/synaphin protein family, it is a reported complexin that regulates SNARE protein complex-mediated synaptic vesicle fusion (By similarity). Other names for this target antigen include CPX IV and complexin IV.
