Anti-FOXL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein forkhead box L1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 345 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. FOXL1 is known to be a transcription factor required for proper proliferation and differentiation in the gastrointestinal epithelium. Synonyms for this target antigen include FKHL11, FREAC7, forkhead box protein L1, forkhead-like 11, forkhead-related protein FKHL11, and FKH6. FOXL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FOXL1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
