Anti-CED antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CED antigen is another term for the human protein transforming growth factor beta 1, encoded by the TGFB1 gene. The protein is known to function in cell migration and chondrocyte differentiation, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 390 residues and a mass of 44.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. It is reported to be highly expressed in bone. The CED protein is a member of the TGF-beta protein family.
