Anti-SRY-box transcription factor 17 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SOX17 in humans. The gene may also be known as SRY-box 17, SRY box 17, SRY (sex determining region Y)-box 17, and VUR3. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 44.1 kilodaltons in mass. The SOX17 marker can be used to identify Afferent Arteriole Endothelial Cells, Efferent Arteriole Endothelial Cells, and Artery Endothelial Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
