Anti-BCL2L10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein BCL2 like 10. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 204 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm. It is found to be widely expressed in adult tissues. A member of the Bcl-2 protein family, BCL2L10 is reported to promote cell survival by suppressing apoptosis induced by BAX but not BAK. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include Boo, Diva, bcl-2-like protein 10, BCL2-like 10 (apoptosis facilitator), anti-apoptotic protein Boo, and BCL-B. BCL2L10 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
