Anti-PMF1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein polyamine modulated factor 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 205 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. PMF1 is known to be a part of the MIS12 complex which is required for normal chromosome alignment and segregation and kinetochore formation during mitosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include Est1p-like protein B (EST1B). PMF1 gene orthologs have been reported in the frog species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PMF1 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
