Anti-NS5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NS5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RAF1 gene, which encodes Raf-1 proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of NS5 has a canonical amino acid length of 648 residues and a protein mass of 73.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum and kidney. Other names for this target antigen include CMD1NN and CRAF. Western Blot is a widely used application for the NS5 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
