Anti-GIG3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GIG3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FADD gene, which encodes Fas associated via death domain. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and viral immune response, among other biological roles. The human version of GIG3 has a canonical amino acid length of 208 residues and a protein mass of 23.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, urinary bladder, and adrenal gland. Other names for this target antigen include IMD90 and MORT1. A number of GIG3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
