Anti-Protein phosphatase, Mg2+/Mn2+ dependent 1K antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PPM1K in humans. The gene may also be known as PP2Cm, BDP, MSUDMV, PP2Ckappa, protein phosphatase 1K, mitochondrial, and PP2C domain-containing protein phosphatase 1K. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 41 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
