Anti-ORP3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ORP3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the OSBPL3 gene, which encodes oxysterol binding protein like 3. This protein is reported to be a phosphoinositide-binding protein, which associates with both cell and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membranes. The human version of ORP3 has a canonical amino acid length of 887 residues and a protein mass of 101.2 kilodaltons, although 8 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, ER, and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the nasopharynx, kidney, fallopian tube, bronchus, and breast. This target antigen may also be known as ORP-3.
